이미 이런 경험을 하신 고수님들의 글을 읽지 못해서
다른 방법이 있는것을 몰랐습니다.

- 첫번째 xf86 드라이버 포팅 안해도됩니다.
- 두번째 X 안띄우고(설정 건너뛰고)도
영문텍스트(locale은 korean 선택하고)로 전부 설치할수 있습니다.

1. 해당되는 GeForce 씨리즈는 24비트까지 지원되는 패치가 있었습니다.
109401-13 을 다운 받아서 설치하시면 (아마 109401-12 부터일겁니다.)
kdmconfig 에서 NVIDIA RIVA TNT .. GEFORCE 등을 선택하실수 있습니다.

2. 일단 patch 를 하시려면 정상적으로 Solaris8을 설치해야죠.
처음 설치부분에서 비디오카드 설정을 그냥 스킵하면
영어로 진행되는 텍스트 설치화면으로 진행되더군요.
두번째 장을 설치할때도 web start 가 텍스트로 가니까
제 글처럼 삽질은 필요없습니다.

3. 일단 설치까지 무사히 마치셨으면 패치는 여러 방법으로 받으실수 있겠습니다.
16컬러로 웹으로 받을 수도 있겠구요
FTP 를 이용하실 수도 있겠구요.
저는 이번에는 다른 파티션에 있는 윈도우로 전부 다운 받아놓고
마운트해서 카피하는 방법을 사용했습니다.
(어디선가 다른 분의 팁에서 배웠죠. 이곳에는 Q&A에도 없는 것 같던데..)

mount -F pcfs /dev/dsk/c0d0p0:c /mnt
(첫번째 디스크 첫번째 파티션의 도스 C드라이브를 마운트)

이렇게 하면 저 같은 초보자 분들이 삽질 좀 덜하시겠지요..
제가 검색을 잘 못해서 꼭 다른 분들이 팁으로 알려놓으신 것을
혼자 삽질해보고 나서야 새로운 것을 발견한 것처럼 글 쓴 것 같아서
미리 알고 계셨던 분들이 읽으시고 얼마나 한심하게 생각하셨을까 싶습니다.

그래도 열심히 삽질중입니다.
한달도 안된 사이 열번도 넘게 새로 깔아본거 같습니다. ^^
